Delusion: Tactical Idle RPG Codes review
Delusion: Tactical Idle RPG is a game that initially promises an immersive experience, but it quickly devolves into frustration. While the graphics are undoubtedly cute and the interface refreshingly well-designed, any excitement is quickly dampened by the paywall that becomes apparent just a few levels in. Reaching level 22 and having my HP and attack stats maxed out at level 80, I find myself struggling to defeat bosses, and the odds of pulling something worthwhile from the gacha system only exacerbate my disappointment. It feels disheartening to grind for hours yet receive subpar rewards, making the gameplay less engaging and ultimately dull. While I hoped for an enjoyable idle experience, it feels more like a chore with repetitive mechanics.
Even though the game’s mechanics can be intricate and beautifully produced, the auto-move and auto-skill features diminish the chance to appreciate them fully. This leads to a lack of connection with the characters and gameplay, as there's little need for strategic thinking. Furthermore, updates that have removed key features only exacerbate my disillusionment. The devs seem out of touch with their player base, as they introduce changes that dismantle the game's foundation with no clear explanations. These actions make it difficult to feel invested, especially when older players' progress is disregarded, leaving new ones with little opportunity to succeed.
To add insult to injury, constant reminders of in-game ads and monetization options muddy the experience. Although some aspects of the game can be fun, particularly in the early days, the fatigue sets in quickly when the focus feels more like a management simulation than an engaging RPG. The incessant need to watch ads for rewards or pay for a "no-ads" option removes any sense of joy. The design may be appealing, but the lack of substance and accountability from the developers—exemplified by unresolved bugs and unresponsive customer support—ultimately diminishes what could have been a stellar game. In its current state, I feel deceived and left to navigate this delusion alone.
